Re: Live Bands
The best bands I've seen are probably Paramore, AFI, Katatonia and Cradle of Filth.
The worst band I've seen by a long stretch is My Chemical Romance, absolutely dreadful. Taking Back Sunday weren't too special either and the sound at My Dying Bride was pretty rubbish.

Re: Live Bands
The only band you probably would have heard of was Fall Out Boy =/
They're not that great live but it's still really good fun.
The Hush Sound and The Academy Is ... were really good but Cobra Starship was the best live.

Re: Live Bands
Best band I've ever seen was foo fighters @ reading 05, by far, truely breathtaking.
I've also seen;
Dinosaur Jr - brilliant
The charlatans - not so brilliant
All american rejects - very good
nine black alps - very good
baby shambles - very good, nearly got a bit of the guitarists neck, the big geezer infront of me beat me to it though!
Biffy clyro - they were a bit shit.
Black rebel motorcycle club - again, not up to scratch really
razorlight - very good
Spunge - very good
Locally I have seen about everyone going, and the standard is usually very high indeed.

Re: Live Bands
yeah uh Fall Out Boy were enjoyable live
The Academy Is... were pretty great
The Hush Sound were really good live, definately fun, but the crowd was shit.
Cobra Starship's performance was electric.
Shiny Toy Guns were baddddd. But the drummer was funny.
The worst bands I've seen live... Alabama 3. Tiderising. I guess I just don't get it...

Re: Live Bands
Muse - Reading Festival 2006 - Incredible, mind blowing is the only way to describe it, the performance, the lights, the crowd everything was perfect!
The Laurel Collective - Almost every time I see them - Just so tight, so much energy, so much fun, such great song, such good mates. (actually listening to a live set of theirs at the moment)
The King Blues - Reading Festival 2007 - Such a great band, sound very fresh, so much passion for what they are saying and just such a good vibe to the set.
Fastlane - When touring there "New Start" album - such nice guys, such acoumplished musicians an just a wicked band!
Get.Cape.Wear.Cape.Fly - Reading Festival 2007 - Amazing, such a cool atmosphere and crowd, so friendly, such a good performance. Just amazing.
I think that will list will do for now.

Re: Live Bands
All the gigs I've been to have been really good - though may not be most people's cup of tea.
Madness - Madstock
Busted x2 - Hammersmith Apollo and Wembley
McFly x2 - Supporting Busted at Wembley, then headlining at Wembley.
Son of Dork - Sic Tour
Matt Willis - Shepherd's Bush Empire
Not into them anymore, but I went to see Hear'Say when I liked them - and I have no problem admitting that
I've seen Elliot Minor twice I think. But didn't pay much attention to them when they were playing, as I only went to see Shibby support. EM aren't my cup of tea.
I have to say, since seeing local* bands play quite often, I much prefer small intimate gigs seeing unsigned bands, than going to see the bigger bands - though I wouldn't mind seeing Plain White T's, I think.
*local to Kent, unfortunately.

Re: Live Bands
Black Eyed Peas, Linkin Park, Gym Class Heroes, The Feeing, The Kaiser Chiefs are great live too, very tight! Best live artist though for me has gotta be Alicia Keys, I'll have seen her 5 times by July!
Re: Live Bands
Hell Is for Heroes - Simply amazing band live
The Cooper Temple Clause - Not so active on stage but sound wise, incredible
Biffy Clyro - Not that impressed
Octavia Sperati - again not that active but the sound, wow, it was like a wall
Something Corporate - Stage diving off a proper upright piano into the crowd, simply awesome

haha, I've seen Gym Class twice, going to see The Feeling for the 2nd time in mid-march
I don't get why The Feeling are slated so hard, yea it's "cheesey pop" music, but they don't deny that. Most of their songs are so well written as well.
Re: Live Bands
the feeling, they're wonderful.
i mean tbh some pop is horrible
but people forget that some pop is awesome
like the feeling
or mark ronson
lol =]
