who do you reckon will win botb rising stars?

any ideas anyone?

or who do you think will be in the final, judging on past performances?

I have a few ideas who I think should make it through the rounds judges on their talent, but as the decision is down to votes form the fans, it makes the battle completely open, which adds to fun of the gig, the bands need to work flat out on their promotion using the flyers, myspace, word of mouth, make new friends, interact with the other bands in the battle etc.

The fans will judge the bands on both the entertainment factor and the music they play.

I really would like to know who you all think, the standard is actually very high and from all genres. I have worked out the heats so every heat has a local band or two and the running order and there are different styles and genre in each heat. There are bands from all over Kent & Essex, so many of the bands will have traveled a long way to join us

I really think everyone coming to the battles will have a great time...hope to see all the fans up the front dancing the night away and everyone giving support to ALL the bands and not just the one they have come along to support

'tis unfair that someone has to win with all this young talent on parade.... Remember that old line from school sports day.... 'it's not the winning, it's the taking part'.... yeah, it was bollocks.... what i suggest is a much fairer way to decide the winners.... knuckles.... it's hard as nails mortal combat for the hands.... you just have to beat the shit out of your opponent's knuckles using your own knuckles... leaving them crippled for life... hilarious fun... but seemingly the only way to distinguish between this fine bunch of youngsters.... your hands may end up in mini-wheelchairs but it's worth it... my hand fell off a mini skateboard once... it was in hand hospital for weeks....

As it's an audience vote the band likely to go through will be the one that gets the most people to come. So it's down to promotion and how many mates you've got lol.

i do... and i am he.... my arms are less bulky though... and i am less ginger than he is.... he has ginger eyelashes and everything.... mine is just a redder shade of normal..... oh, and my pyjamas are clearly better than his

Either the band with the most friends or the band who puts on the best performance.

I do love bands who put on a good show.

Dont forget to look at how the voting system goes, everyone get to vote for the best 3 bands. Best band 10 points, second best gets 7 points and third best gets 5 points. Then all points are calculated and the best 2 bands go through. No other way of doing it really

Ahh ok I didn't realise you voted for your top 3. That's a good way of doing it!

I wanted the BOTB to give everyone the fairest chance I could, and not everyone will have the same taste in music and that is why performance and getting the crowd involved will be very important.

Before each battle I will explain to the crowd exactly how the voting system works. The last band will finish by 10pm and I hope to have the votes calculated and double checked and announce to the band by 10.30pm which bands are going through to the next round.

Must say I think the BOTB will be excellent and so many brilliant bands taking part...so good luck to everyone I say
