funny
R-r-r-russell brand is indeed a genius and has legendary hair... the mighty boosh is also quite amazingly surreal and funny.... Sometimes i laugh at cats.... and sometimes at society in general... humour is everywhere really...
Re: Comedy
In terms of stand up it's all about Chris Rock and Alan Carr.
Tv shows, sitcoms etc. Friends will always be a favourite of mine. I also love The Friday Night Project and Family Guy amuses me. I don't get the hype with the boosh, I just don't find it funny, it's all slightly weird.

boosh...
The thing with the boosh is it's genius in surrealism.... some of the funniest things in the world are not actually all that funny by traditional standards but subject to bizarre context, anything can be seen as hilarious, frightening, beautiful or whatever... that is the concept of surrealism.... and the boosh sets this off quite alarmingly well..... the unexpected is always good... and Noel Fielding as Vince Noir... the proto-prog-psychedelic-sex machine... is blatantly hilarious with his parody of style. But the boosh is visual marmite... and that's the thing with surrealism... context in all things is generally different from human to human as the way we percieve things is extraordinarily different from one another and our idiosyncrasies tend to dictate to us how we perceive variable contexts. For example: this very message is hilarious, but some would say it's not.. then if i were to elaborate upon it by talking of coked up,mud-wrestling chickens, it might appear more funny or less funny, despite it's lack of humour....
Re: Comedy
The way people perceive things is certainly a fascination of mine. Especially in terms of music like how one person will class a certain genre as genius and the next person deems it as noise. But hey if we were all on the same wavelength how boring would the world be?

Re: Comedy

Re: Comedy
Modern comedy is nothing compared to Monty python, they are Demi-Gods and way ahead of their time, True amazing Talent.
also Faulty towers and black adder are both great works. Comedians my personal favourites are Bill Bailey and Dylan Moran, Both sooo switched on and purely hilarious.
