Sue... i have something marvellous for you.... 'tis my fave classical composer methinks.... Purcelll.... this is from the opera 'dido and aeneas' the song is called 'ah, belinda, i am prest with torment...' it is well good and that.... it is very clever and devicive.... it has this one bassline throughout that just repeats over and over but the other instruments embellish the root differently on each phrase, and the vocal line is so beautiful and dark.... 'tis from the 17th centiry, so very Elizabethan sounding..... hope you appreciate this....
