Post  Kerrie.Eats.Monkeys. on Thu Jan 24, 2008 8:23 pm

yeh it was on an advert for trivial pursuit i think.
i just remember hearing it and almost spitting my dinner across the table.
haha...it better be true...or trivial pursuit has let me down!

and there was i thinking you had first hand experience... i imagined you dancing in a club (like a monkey) with the platypus, under the twinkling light of the mirrorball.... and you leaning across and whispering in his ear 'is it true what they say about platypi?'.... and he, without uttering a verbal riposte, ripping off his studded white disco shirt and unveiling his nipple-free chest in all it's aquatic glory... then dancing to saturday night fever like john travolta with a beak...... Twisted Evil

yeh that would have been more interesting.
hmm...i hope thatone day i do meet a platypus in that way and i can re-enact that story for you!
except in my version...the platypus would be wearing a kilt...dont ask me why...tis just what i see in my head.
it will be a scottish platypus!

There is a lengthy initiation...it involves a lot of blood-letting.... and pie eating... and dancing....and caber tossing... and porridge mixing...and tartan weaving.... ooh, it's quite complex

complex eh?

Post  Kerrie.Eats.Monkeys. on Fri Jan 25, 2008 11:58 pm

well i reckon i can handle that.
the tartan weaving may cause me some trouble...to be honest i think that with tarten weaving the added blood letting will be unnecessary-(it took me ages to figure out how to spell that!)
