This isn't really a promotional idea, but i think alot more people would be able to come to gigs if they were on saturdays :S I'm sure there's a reason for them being on Sunday but hey.... just making a suggestion Smile

competititions?

Post  turtlemoon on Thu Jan 10, 2008 4:18 pm

how about running a comp on myspace for free tickets to a gig or something? this will get people replying and will also advertise gigs etc.

perhaps you could get people to design a T shirt (see post before mine) just a thought?? Smile

flyers

Post  jamsackson on Thu Jan 10, 2008 10:34 pm

once you have got the line up for the gigs could you send each band say, 20-40 flyers, or ask them to print off a few. If they were already designed than you could iether send them a few through post, or just email them the jpg and get them to print htem out and put them up in music shops ect, places where people who are likely to go will go.

Badges / Stickers

Post  jamsackson on Thu Jan 10, 2008 10:39 pm

Just another idea, people love freebees so if you got some badges or stickers out and circulating it could spread the word to those who havent adapted to myspace yet Very Happy

Post  jamsackson on Thu Jan 10, 2008 10:44 pm

what size(s) would you want, how many colours ect, these have an effect on price for them unless you can find a badge maker.

abdges

Post  jamsackson on Thu Jan 10, 2008 10:50 pm

personaly no but one of my friends is building up a graphic port folio for uni ect and is very good, (see our msyapce for some work, she has done all logos ect,), just looking an one website here some prices are

100 25mm - 17.99
100 38mm - 29.95
100 57mm - 39.95

obviously buy more at a time and price decreases per badge.
