such as?

I can't think of many local pop punk bands these days to be honest,

dan.ed.will are making a come back hopefully, Make a Memory are awesome dudes but are really busy with Shychlo and the Boys, Chaos Days are going strong but hardly play kent anymore

I would say my band but I'm not that much of an arse and technically we're not local

I haven't really heard those bands so I can't make a judgement on them, good to see that it's not completely dead though

I'm not looking to start an argument, I just think the more everyone supports eachother and stop bitching over the net the better

if any promoters are interested, At Odds and dan.ed.will are looking for a Tenterden show sometime over the summer

if you're interested then hit me up at rob-field@hotmail.co.uk

they do indeed and the fact is if you want a pop punk/hardcore band (eg, like set your goals, new found glory, saves the day etc), Make a Memory and Kiss the Sharks are the only local ones

As most people here know, I'm the drummer from JHS, so geeza182 this is mostly aimed at you, but please dont take it in an offence manner, its not meant to be like that at all.

1. I have to thoroughly agree with you, that kiss the sharks are one of the best Pop-punk outfits around at the moment, from what I have heard of them. They are a very tallented bunch of musicians.

2. Not entierly sure where the hair cut comment came from about listening to JHS or WTH?? Just seemed a little random an out of context, but tgat pretty unimportant.

3. I can readily admit we are not the best band around (but have we ever said we are?? or has anyone ever said we are??), we have our faults and people are always going to dislike some of things we do (which you obviosly do). We play the music we like and as we progress as musicians there has been a noticable progression in our writing ability, and is something that is continueing and I feel is ever more present in our newest material and so over the next 6 months or so, it is likely a very new sounding JHS will appear. So basically what I'm trying to say, is that most bands when they start out and in there first few years often have teething difficalties and take a while to settle there sound and develop, which I think is something we have gone through, and hopefully are coming out of at the moment.

4. When did you last hear us play?? An if it wasnt in the last few months, come down to the Diner on the 6th, I'll stand you a drink if you come find me, just to prove I'm a reasonable guy, and you can have a beer with the JHS crew and try and let us convince you that were not arrogant rockstarts and are just a few mates trying to develop our instramental skills and songwriting as we go along.

Anyway, after that essay I hope everything is cool and as I said, if you fancy that drink, come find me on the 6th.
